In 2001, Sergei earned a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, with research focused on agentic AI systems, the kind that plan, reason, and act on their own. That was two decades before the topic entered the mainstream. He has spent the years since building data and analytics systems that work in the real world, not just in theory.

Sergei has spent over 20 years designing and delivering data and analytics systems for enterprises across banking, healthcare, telecommunications, logistics, and the public sector. He founded MPP Insights to bring that experience to organizations worldwide.

Today, Sergei sets the technical direction, product architecture, and R&D strategy at MPP Insights. That includes MPP BI and MPP ETL, both built on his architectural thinking and deployed by clients in production. His current focus is on massively parallel processing architectures, systems that handle large data volumes at speed without compromising governance or reliability.

Sergei has authored multiple research papers, including ACM-recognized work on database-centric computing. ACM, the Association for Computing Machinery, is one of the most respected bodies in computer science. He has presented internationally on high-performance data architectures and has been quoted by the following publications on AI infrastructure, system reliability, and enterprise analytics.
